So we all survived the long holiday weekend. That is a good thing. We did get the chance to finally relax a bit yesterday. Saturday and Sunday were go-go-go days with many things to do. We saw family went to two cook-outs that were both scheduled to start at the same time (almost), a family reunion dinner, running errands (a half gallon of milk does not last indefinitely), visiting family and doing what we do bes:t eating wonderful food with wonderful company!
So you may ask, what about the diet, the healthy eating and living? We are still working on those things. We are working on limiting our portions, becoming more aware of our food choices, exercising more frequently, etc. It is after all a project-in-motion. "Rome was not built in a day," we did not get out of shape overnight so we are not looking for a, "quick-fix" that may last a few months, we are looking for lifestyle changes that will have positive results over a long-term. But I will continue to post more about our experiences and progress (and regressions) soon.
Quote for the day: Rome was not built in a day. - Need I say more? (It is a Roman, French and English proverb and the author or originator is unknown).
